Decent throw, could be softer

I ordered an Open Road Portable Silk Throw for my travel bag. Shipping was free and it arrived in about 5 business days, which is fine. The throw itself is lightweight and good for travel, definitely. It keeps me warm without being bulky. However, I expected it to feel a bit softer, given it's silk. It's not rough, just not as luxurious as I imagined. The price was okay for what it is, but I think a slightly softer texture would make it perfect. It does its job though.

Honestly, I just use a good quality duvet cover and wash that regularly. The duvet itself only gets aired out on a sunny day every few months. Haven't had to properly wash it yet after a year.

I was super nervous about washing mine too! The tag says spot clean mostly, or professional dry cleaning. I've only spot cleaned small marks so far with a damp cloth and mild soap. Seems to work okay.
